Zethar Al-Umma Foundation

Zethar Al-Umma Foundation, is a not- for- profit and non-governmental organization duly registered in Nigeria. Our headquarters is in Sokoto, North-West Nigeria, from where we reach into Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Niger and Ebonyi States of Nigeria as well as to Niger Republic and lately, other parts of Francophone West Africa.

We practice the Transformational Community Development (TCD) model which helps communities evolve from abject poverty to sustainable development. In Transformational Community Development, our modus operandi is two-fold. One, we facilitate knowledge transfer to the rural poor and two, we engage them to look inwards, discover resources that are inherent in them and resident in their communities, and teach them how to fully utilize and maximize those resources in order to upgrade the quality of life and living. Our activities in helping the poor and the hurting go beyond mere alleviation and relief to sustainable development.

We focus on five main areas that are essential to human existence:
Water, Food, Education, Wellness, Income Generation
